Ingredients

chopped onions (Medium)
1 c
carrots
2 c
celery (sliced)
1 lb
red potatoes (scrubbed and cubed)
2 lb
beef (stew meat in chunks)
2 t
thyme
14 1⁄2 oz
diced tomatoes
3⁄4 c
water
6 oz
tomato paste

Instructions

Place onion evenly over the bottom. Add the following ingredients in his order: carrots, celery, potatoes and beef. Sprinkle with thyme. Pour diced tomatoes and water over the top of the beef.

Cover: cook on LOW setting for 8 to 10 hours until meat is tender. Stir in tomato paste: cover.

Cook an additional 10 minutes.
