Welp…
It seems the DNS change is causing an outage on the mastodon server.
I’ve been trying to troubleshoot it but I’m getting no where.
There’s only like 10 active users on it, but I feel bad.
I’m going to blame @KayDee@social.stouist.com for asking about the server costs.
My best route would be to use a full domain vs subdomain and start over.
Still working on it, but if I can’t get it going soon, I’m going to make sure I have a copy of it and move on.
Will update here.

Yeah, if it doesn’t fire up today it’s going to the farm.
The long weekend is getting away and I would like to have this settled.
Even if I don’t get it going, the 4TB of baggage is just going to rack up the charges.
There’s also a new version and I have more *knowledge* this time.
First, I have to acquire a few space heaters.
The furnace also took a dive last night and the part won’t be here til Tuesday.
I have somehow offended the machines.
Also, this is actually all @Erik’s fault.

I honestly haven’t used mastodon much at all lately since the Great Bluesky Migration. Tons of new followers and interactions there, whereas I barely had any at all on any of my mastodon instances. Come join us, Jeff! @kopper.bsky.social
