If you’ve ever wondered why electroponix.com has an x, it’s because the electroponics.com got nabbed by a domain squatter while I was "overseas".
He was trying to get me to cough up 5 grand and at that point, there was no possible way.
This caused me no small amount of trouble, as domain registrations etc. had that domain tied to them. I ended up rebuilding stuff using electroponix.com as I actually had somewhat of a brand back then.
A couple years later, 15 years ago to today, I was up late and decided to check. Lo and behold, it had JUST expired and I got it back. For $10.
The email was quite a bit saltier and I think I woke the neighbors screaming "F$ck You, Travis!" followed by maniacal laughter.
